This site is dedicated to Craig W Freitag, a pioneer and Mountain Man born into this life about 100 years ahead of his spirit. He was an adventurer, and couldn’t help exploring what was around the bend. He could fend off wild animals with his bare hands or heal a wound with herbs from the forest, but he had no defense or antidote for the poisons of the city. He was an avid outdoorsman, impeccable craftsman, a master builder, and as devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Son as ever lived, among many other admirable qualities. His spirit flies free now above South Boulder Creek, in the shadow of the Indian Peaks. Please join us in offering Mary Freitag, Craig’s widow, a special prayer - they were married for over 26 years; and for Jacquelyne Smith, Craig’s Mother, who loved her son dearly.
